Paint Can Storage

When you're finished with your painting project, think ahead to next time. Before storing paint cans, slip a rubber band around the outside at the level of the paint inside. Also, put a piece of masking tape on the lid with the location and date it was last used.

" Hi, I'm Bob Vila from Home Again with an important tip for homeowners. Take the guesswork out of storing paint leftovers. Before you replace the lid, mark the level of the paint remaining in the can with a rubber band around the outside. Clean the rim and secure the lid tightly. Add a label with the color name and where and when it was used for easy reference next time. For more information, check out my website as bobvila.com. Good luck with your home improvement projects.
