" This is just really spectacular, I think. And Terry"
" Thank----thank you."
" you've done a fabulous job for it."
" Thank you very much."
" I mean, it is such a neat idea to spatter paint right over the plywood instead of buying vinyl floor."
" Uhm, yeah, it looks so vinyl."
" How did you get started?"
" Uhm, well first, we painted the floor with the green enamel duct tape and then we rolled and we rolled it on."
" Uhm."
" And when it dried for a couple of days and then we started spattering paint."
" Now, what fascinates me is all the color to it. Did you----could you go with any dark color for the base? Could it be black or dark gray?"
" Uhm, well because of the fabric that's gonna be used in this room----"
" Aha."
" We choose the dark green and it's [unk]."
" Okay, so there is logic, got it."
" Uhm."
" And what about the other colors? They're also into fabric?"
" Yes, they are and we used the piece of light green and we used the salmon colors----"
" Aha."
" Into this and we have the dark brown, which we'd used just into the dark color [unk]."
" Sure, sure. Why would I never have dreamt of using a dark brown, but I guess it all worked really---- go ahead and show us how you do it?"
" Okay."
" I'll get out of the way in case it's really messy."
" Alright."
" Uhm, while I'm just spattering the paint and hitting it lightly for the [unk] and it's just it doesn't matter what kind of shapes come out and just----"
" Squiggles and dots."
" Right. And you wanted it stick, so you'll----we're using the thick paint."
" Aha. It is an oil-based paint again, right?"
" Yes, it is. And we're gonna be on to salmon."
" So, in each area that you're working in, you'll spatter all 3 colors at once?"
" Right. And then in that way we can use the whole floor and you don't have to wait for it to dry. You could go along."
" You have to let it dry first for a couple days longer after you do all the spattering?"
" Yes, we do."
" And of course what we did was we covered the entire floor here in plywoods 'coz you know, the old shabby shed had a lousy set of planks here that we had to cover and what we'll do is we'll put 2 or 3 coats of polyurethane right over this artwork and we'll have a real tough finish. Thanks a lot Terry."
