Gas-Fired Water Heater

Bob checks out the ProMax "75" gas-fired water heater from A. O. Smith. It has a blower on top which provide us the air necessary for combustion. This is particularly useful in a house like the Quechee farmhouse which is very tight. It has an 80% efficiency rating and a glass-line storage tank with a 10-year tank warranty.

" This is a gas-fired water heater, and it's a good choice this A.O. Smith Promax, the 75, they call it. It's got a blower up here basically, which provides the air that's necessary for combustion, and it's very useful in a house such as ours, which is very tight. You don't have a lot of drafty here coming into the basement. The other thing I like about it is the fact that it's rated 80% efficiency and it has a glass-lined storage tank, which really, I think they give you a 10-year tank warranty on this. So, it's a very good choice."
