" Well when we finished up last week we're just putting together the floor joists for the first floor deck putting down the plywood and creating some of the garage walls. A modern day framing crew prides itself on speed we've got a lot of men a lot of machinery here so as you can see the house's. Basically framed up ballistic closer look at all steps involved. Right after the first floor joists were in place -- framing crew gets started on the subfloor. They used a thicker plywood product from Georgia Pacific called tough ply. First a bead of construction adhesive was applied on -- to the floor joists this helps prevent squeaky floors and tough ply sub flooring meets APA standards and it's seven eighths of an inch it's only slightly thicker than 2330 seconds standard always been. -- But it's three times step into the greater load carrying capacity. A single layer of tough ply can be used directly under hardwood tile or carpet. It's quick fit tongue and groove design saves time fitting the panels together. The sheets of tough ply were tapped firmly together before nailing off with the -- a large crew really made quick work of this job. Next the crew got busy framing the side walls they used Riverside half inch CDX plywood for the sheathing. This product is harvested from sustainable forests in Canada. That's manufactured from a mixture of western white spruce watchful eye and Alpine where. This wood combination has a favorable weight to strength ratio making the panels easier to work. The plywood sheathing overlaps the rim board and sill to finish off the exterior walls. Our highly efficient crew. Framed the second floor and the roof structure very quickly."
