" all right so the little structure that has gone up here. What's the dimension. The exterior dimensions five by sixteen okay and that incorporates the new mudroom that we're standing in right here and this is the new door it's kind of wide. Actually incorporated a sidelight into the plan Soviet side plant light and glass and then. Beyond the new entry here we've got the pottery the pottery and then today we're going to be working on demolition into the actual house from here. That's correct as as as we've noted before we actually want to finish we want to have this shell secured so to have it. Weather tight on the outside and now we'll start the disruption of the inside of exactly yet so what are we doing up here it's essentially and attached hip roof. Correct it's it's shallow hip roof it's a three pitch I would put a standing seam copper roof on top of it. The reason for that is because of the existing window that's going to remain we were and because of the addition going -- we had to offset that three pitch well achieve not running into that window -- copper roof will be forever. That's correct that's about a fifty year roof that you've already tied the -- cut up the different members here but let's review what you've got you got the double up member that's called what. That's not hip right here these these are the hips. The hip jacks are right here in the smaller pieces yeah. -- common rafter right here the first common coming in right yes yes so you'll have common rafters and across the middle of it. But in the hip itself you've already precut. You got two of them here if and they had to be cut roof. A combination of angles right that's correct which you have is you have your combination on the front side of it which is -- 312 pitch yeah okay then what we had is our regular C cut. Because of the hip hip is at 45 degrees so we actually set the -- 45 degrees and cut that angle right and of course she's -- where -- your buttons on it. To replicate it correct the the way we utilize that is the square goes down on top of that rafter. And that gives us the 312 pitch that we're looking far. And then from that point the and we had a measurement that came from the top they get to the backside of -- the double top plate. That's right there right taken actually radius the tape across there that achieves where that location is that measurement comes across that's watch while the rest of these rafters -- one place. Okay here's another common one yeah. I -- double hip has been installed. If you pass me the first Jack please share. Coming to you from."
