" Okay joining us now learned to fear from architect Monica who is responsible for all of us design. Now what is the philosophy what was the thinking coming up with a solution but it."

" All of our presence we have a story that goes behind the design Kansas designer out of the -- in this project is about Havana Miami 1950s. Carmen Miranda Desi Hernandez. And the tropical fruits and vegetables that we find here in Miami yeah all right yeah for instance this breakfast and table as a banana me. And this week. With the key theme of that -- an addition here to the suburban tract town yet."

" It's also got -- sense of the Circuit Court to my but well that's another reading -- Rick Rogers really crafted this so that there are three different colors. Of the material that was her out. Crafted together and notched out to really form this leak even with the the black spines down the middle right."

" That's your and it kind of floats here. -- This gives us a chance to experiment with -- new materials and new products such as this from a can make that -- surround. And we'll be able to use these products in our big projects and knowing -- doing an intimate scale yes smaller projects but. Because of your exposure to other professional as you get to do stuff like this threat we -- neighbors and Romero pre Tel in Miami Beach. And this gave us a chance to work with him where he designed the tiles to reinstall. And he worked with our color scheme it was thickness."

" You would had a pretty unique challenge here right sure didn't ask you just talked about the tiles it we also have to work in the Romero -- so that we had to work with the color on that even with all the color in the room but I had to come up with the concept to tone down. The colors it's ours in the furniture and window treatments yes so first what we had to decide. Is with the entertainment center. "

" So it wasn't just a question of color also questioned function as a function Sam Bennett."

" After we decided we had to use less color we had to look at how we could make the room functional. In comfortable at the same time."

" Does this section of the house has not really grown immunity now the encouragement was -- then we -- to be here were still talking and dimension that's roughly twelve. And that was formerly just twelve -- twelve but now it -- feels more like twelve by twenty but still in terms of viewing distance -- the like nothing has changed."

" Now in so that's what we had to look at because we really didn't have enough room to put a lot of pieces of furniture right so we decided we need to make it copper -- they are comfortable. We may Joe lounge chair and moon and then what we looked down is what we do for the window treatments yes and make sure. That there was a knock off coverage think you'd be able to see the screen so we put the room darkening so weapon. And you can see now that you can -- hoping you can see through -- easy -- do -- dark and you interpret that. Bending at it if I now how are we going to put something up there to conceal them when we want to opt to see the beautiful view. So we design corner sports in neutral color but as you can see if you look close there's banana -- They're small design in and we coordinated accessories that go along with that."

" So that the cushions and the fabrics used. Don't compete with the rest of the design color was thirteen bath trying to blend together it figures that leather didn't get all -- Now it's all this available at the home next door this is all available sit through a series on home life furniture store."

Bob meets Arquitectonica's Laurinda Spear, an architect who has come up with some eye-catching and very tropical ideas for the project. Due to local zoning laws, the original concept of expanding onto the back deck has changed. Instead, the kitchen will be extended to the side.
