A portable beltsander will go just about anywhere an extension cord can reach. For best results, secure your work in place. Use both hands. Start the machine off the surface of your work. At full speed, touch down with the rear of the belt first. Always sand with the grain and don't apply pressure. Let the machine do the work.

To change the belt,place the beltsander on a 45 degree angle facing downward on the work bench. Push hard until the front roller locks into position. The belt will now be loose and the roller locked in place. To release
picked up a Montgomery Wards beltsander at a rummare model twh 8543a figure out the size of the belt I need or how to get it on. My old sander had a lever on the side to slide the roller in to mount the belt, and this one only has a screw
recently had to change the belt on my sander. I ended up having to To install a new belt here is what I did. Unscrew switch slowly until the belt moves over to the disired table or shop with the sander upside down. Good luck
I inherited a very old Sears Roebuck Craftsman metal case electric beltsander. It still works. It appears to take a 3"x 28" belt. Are these belts availabe ANYWHERE? The model number of the sander is: 207.2230. I searched the Sears Parts Store website and found nothing.
